CBBC & Clore Award for Museum Learning winners!

21 Jun

I’ve been invited this morning as a special guest to talk to CBBC staff at BBC MediaCityUk about ‘In the mix’, my sound related work and also look forward to giving them insights into the learning programmes at Whitworth Art Gallery and Manchester Museum. This leads into some exciting news that was announced earlier this week:

The Whitworth Art Gallery (in partnership with Manchester Museum and Manchester Art Gallery) has won the Clore Award for Learning for the work with under 5s!

The Clore Award 2012 has a focus on work with children and young people. The Award celebrates quality museum and gallery learning with children and young people (from early years up to the age of 25) in any setting, in or out of school/college. It recognises achievements in learning programmes which develop the skills, knowledge, values and enjoyment of the participants.
